ABOUT

Daisy Stewart-Darling (she/her) is a London-based sound and linocut artist with a socially engaged, research-led practice.

She has a BA Hons in Music Technology from the University of Sussex, and a MA in Sound Arts from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.

With a background in music technology since 2013, Daisy has developed her sound work into an installation context since 2021.

Her practice uses sound as a form of activism—creating accessible listening spaces that amplify marginalised voices and foster collective awareness through deep listening.

Working under the pseudonym Daisy Does Lino, she began teaching herself linocut printmaking in 2021. Her linocut practice has since become integral to her installation work, evolving from visual prints into experiments using linoleum itself as a tactile
interface for interactive electronics.

Since 2024, Daisy has taught mindful linocut workshops as part of her broader artistic practice, focusing on process over perfection and on reconnecting with the ecological roots of materials. To date, she has taught over 800 participants.

Her combined sound and print practice has gained recognition across the South East, with exhibitions at Electro Studios Project Space (St Leonards-on-sea), De La Warr Pavilion (Bexhill-on-sea), and residencies with The Living Coast UNESCO Biosphere (2024) and Towner Gallery’s HAF Summer Programme (2025). She has also been featured on Girls Twiddling Knobs with sound artist Isobel Anderson.
